Mary Dyer and Harriet Jacobs are vivid examples of how Quakers and slaves were oppressed and discriminated just becaose of who they are. They were both discriminated because they were both woman. Female slaves and Quaker women didn't have much freedom as many people in Massachusetts. Religious intolerance in the 1600's in Massachusetts and slavery in the 1800's in the south made the United States look bad. The experiences that happened to Mary Dyer and Harriet Jacobs are examples of having courage and fighting back oppression and aslo fighting for civil rights and freedom. In some places in the world today, sexism, racism, and discrimination still exists. :-[ :'( ??? :(

Thesis/Intro of Mary Dyer and Harriet Jacobs
:-/ Mary Dyer and Harriet Jacobs are vivid examples of how Quakers and slaves were oppressed and discriminated against just because of who they are. They were women who suffered more that any other group of people, especially men, because they were living in the time when women had no civil rights o freedom. During the 1600s in Boston, religious intolerance started to exist because of Mary Dyer. During the 1800s in the South slavery was still an issue especially towards female slaves. They suffered through a lot to fight for their civil rights and their freedom. :-/ :o

They were discriminated because they were women who didn't have and civil rights. Quakers that are women and female slaves suffered within their group. Mary and Quakers were kick out becaus of religious intolerance in Massachusett. slaves like Harriet were oppresed because slavery went on for 246 years to serve their owner. both had curage to stuggle agianst oppression to get their freedom with rights. :'(
